The Blarney Stone of Ireland
Blarney Stone - block of bluestone that is part of the Mystical Stone of Scone presented to Cormac McCarthy by Robert the Bruce in 1314 for heroic deeds and support in battle. With the, gift of the gab, you will be able to speak in a persuasive and interesting way. Then if you can not dazzle them with facts you will be able to baffle them with bull. You acquire the gift of eloquent flattery by kissing the stone. The castle, or fort, was originally a wooden hunting lodge. Dermot McCarthy redid it in stone in 1446 to defend from British pirates. Overrun by British invaders in 1646, but freed by Irish patriots in 1916.
